AVALON ARTS INITIATIVE

Avalon Arts Community is is looking for budding virtual artists. The town is sponsors prime gallery space – in a brand new building crafted by competition winner WInter Nightfire – for new artists to exhibit! Although we expect selection to be competitive, we encourage artists at all levels of skill to submit their work for consideration.

Criteria:
- You need not be new to SL, but you must be in the early stages of your career, having started exhibiting within the last 6 months (or so).
- You’ve had no major gallery exhibits in world.
- While we will consider showing RL works, preference will be given to artists working with virtual media itself (ex. SL Photography, scripted work, prim-worked or prim-built art, mesh, machinima).

Please send a notecard with your name, a brief artist statement, SL exhibition history, and photographs of your work (no more than 5) and/or an LM where it can be viewed, to Rowan Derryth. Feel free to contact her with questions as well.

Deadline June 1st.

“Sono nata in sl nel dicembre del 2009…spinta da una semplice e pura curiosit? per questo mondo parallelo.
Ho conosciuto Second Life grazie alla mia pi? cara amica real , Mila Tatham…una persona che stimo molto per la sua grande creativit? e bravura!

Il mio primo anno in sl ? stato ricco di sorprese, e non nego di esser stata una delle migliori shopper in sl…compravo abiti e accessori in maniera esagerata…. lo faccio un pochino anche ora, ma in maniera pi? moderata visto che il mio tempo da dedicare in sl ? molto diminuito!

Dopo il primo anno , ho cominciato a maturare la passione per la fotografia e di conseguenza per programmi di editing…ho perfezionatoo alcune tecniche ma sento di avere ancora molto, molto da imparare.
Ci? che maggiormente adoro in tutto questo mondo virtuale, ? la possibilit? di scoprire e cercare sempre cose nuove.
Mi piace visitare terre nuove , riscoprirne vecchie…e naturalmente scattare fotografie qua e la .

Come nel mondo reale anche in sl non ho tanti amici… colpa della mia riservatezza ?..non saprei :p ” .
